From what I can see from the archiving notes I made, this is labelled 'Album 2, Demos Part 2' so I think this is pretty much the earliest incarnation of this track as we recorded it live in the Spirit Studio over at SSR in Manchester. We did an overnight session from something like 10pm til 4am (or thereabouts) with the aim of getting a few solid takes of backing tracks in a nice sounding room, all playing together live.
Engineered by the brilliant Ruthy Bach, who was super patient and a really amazing person to work with.
I know this is an early version as you can hear some of the original keyboard takes in there (the plinky plonky high pitched stuff near the start) and theres very little guitar overdubs on this.
The rhythm section on this track is easily some of the most ferocious playing we'd put out....all recorded while Lozz had food poisoning too!

I didn't think I would like this record but it's so infectious in its ability to change from prog to post rock then to psychedelic and onwards into alternative metal. Such an amazing feat to introduce the saxophone and it sounds so cool, this record is outstanding. Darknight
