This sat on my (Nick) iPad for a couple of years as a demo for some ambient noise stuff I wanted to put together as a solo album. When we were looking for stuff to use to kick off track for what would become Fukushima Surfer Boys, I brought a bunch of demos i'd done to the table and this was one.
Very much me experimenting with delays, reverbs, playing stuff on different beats with stuff panned all over the show. It was to see what you could do without automating stuff but still have a weird psychedelic swirl to something.
If you listen to the start of The Ebb on the album the guitar lines made it over, and the off-kilter skitish feel of the drums too. A nice little acorn that the weird mighty oak of The Ebb would turn into.

I didn't think I would like this record but it's so infectious in its ability to change from prog to post rock then to psychedelic and onwards into alternative metal. Such an amazing feat to introduce the saxophone and it sounds so cool, this record is outstanding. Darknight
